ELX

Explori and ELX have built a sustained research partnership examining the measurement maturity, leadership priorities, and professional development of senior event leaders across North America. Explori's Qualitative Research Director led the primary research for the ELX Future-Ready Leadership Report 2025 — conducting in-depth interviews with senior event professionals and synthesising findings into the published whitepaper.

Key findings from that research: only 46% of ELX members rate their measurement capability as good or excellent, against 98% who rate programme delivery that way. 28% have no KPIs or do not know whether their events meet them.

Measurement receives just 6% of total event budget — the lowest of any function. Joint research from the ELX Key Challenges series found that 84% of event leaders expect measurement to become more important in justifying investment over the next three years, and 58% believe budgets will be cut if measurement does not improve.

Research has been presented at International Confex and through ELX member events.
